Hollywood actress Jennifer Lopez and actor Marc Anthony feared for their daughter Emme’s life soon after her birth whey they discovered a lump on her head. The singer/actress gave birth to boy and girl twins, Max and Emme, in 2008, but Lopez reveals they suffered a secret medical scare when the kids were still newborns.
The ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker has recalled her panic at finding the bump on the head of her daughter, who is now three, shortly after she and her twin brother Max were born and she was so worried she and her then-husband Marc Anthony rushed her straight to hospital.
Jennifer revealed that she just remember that feeling of something is wrong with that baby and she was gonna die. She remember looking at Marc and going, they should call the doctor. She started panicking a little bit and Marc was also panicking too because they were thinking, did somebody drop her when they weren’t looking?’

This scare made them respond to start a foundation and they started the Maribel Foundation that was named after Marc’s sister Maribel who died of brain cancer at eight, which is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women and children. After a battery of tests that included an MRI, doctors gave Emme a clean bill of health and she ended up being just fine.
The drama prompted Lopez to think about how lucky she is given her celebrity status, to be able to afford the best that medicine has to offer while others were less fortunate. Both Lopez and Antony’s publicists told E! News that it also inspired the superstar and her TV journalist sister, Lynda Lopez to launch the Maribel Foundation as a result of their scare. Anyhow finally baby Emme was ok by God’s gift and blessing by their parents.
