When Vijay was shooting for a song in Chennai, director Jayam Raja has screened the climax part of the film for the team and Vijay was moved by the climax and was strongly impressed. He felt that the film would create a big impact among masses. In fact Vijay was about to drop tears and finally controlled his emotions. In a bid to express his thankfulness, he immediately arranged for gold chains, to be bought and he personally gifted them to his chief technicians.
Director Jayam Raja said “Vijay is very much impressed with the climax sequences. He also informed me that the climax part has come out well which is beyond his expectations. Vijay has earlier talked to my father and appreciated my efforts but I wanted him to come out with the feedback directly. I am happy he liked the climax as it is the main part of the films fate to be successful.

It will be a treat for the music lovers, Vijay added in the exclusive interview. The audio launch of ‘Velayudham’ on August 28 in Madurai is going to be a show of strength of Vijay, as the office-bearers of his Makkal Iyakkam were working tirelessly to ensure that the event should be a big success. This Movie Budget reached upto 45 crores beyond the estimated budget with more of computer graphics designed for the movie.
“Apart from those pursuing other courses, a couple of medical students will be also be adopted by Vijay and their education expenses will be borne by the Makkal Iyakkam. This is Vijay’s style of giving back to the society which gave him everything,” a source says.
On August 28, Vijay will reach the Pudhur CSI Grounds, where the audio launch function is scheduled, on a convoy comprising at least 150 cars. He will be given a rousing reception at the Madurai airport.
